Check out the most recent music video by the team behind GRIT Pictures.
When we first heard the track we were blown away by the atmosphere it had created, it had created a landscape through its sound. We had felt transported.

So when we approached the artist Death Orchestral, who is on twitter and instagram by the handle @deathorchestral links will be posted below. The main objective was to create something that had to visually represent the initial feeling of awe we had felt.
Initially it was not hard to come up of the concept behind this, which is enlightenment. Coming up with the concept was the easy part considering that abstract thinking and ideas are part of our strengths. The difficult task was creating a linear narrative behind this, we had to create a journey behind the song fade away. As the name implies there are huge nihilistic themes behind this song, so we had to put that into perspective when creating the narrative.
As for the team coming together and forming GRIT Pictures, we wanted to show something that was truly worthwhile. Something that was cinematic, and would be able to hold itself in visual art installations.
We decided against a live action film as we felt it better able to create a character onto which the viewer would then go ahead and project themselves into. We wanted to create a sense of empathy between the viewer and the character on screen even though the character on screen is a metallic man.
Everything was done in house, the animation and 3D creation and manipulation. We storyboarded, went back to the client and consulted, the client was blown away (testimonial coming soon), the client was simply happy with the first concept and story board.
However the team were not satisfied, we started creating the video, but it was far from the finished product that you can watch below. We created the initial music video.
We then added to it, created the distortion effect as to bring the viewer into the face of the character, as if being intimate.
For artist Death Orchestral.
